Graduates Urged to Focus on Christ
In a ceremony held on May 10, 2012, at Lynwood URC in Lynwood, IL, Andew De Young, Nathan Tomlinson, and Robert Van der Woerd received Master of Divinity degrees, while Ananda Jayawardene received the Master of Theological Studies degree. Dr. Craig Troxel’s commencement address “Fulfill Your Ministry,” based on 2 Timothy 4:5, encouraged graduates to pursue ministry faithfully by always pointing God’s people to Christ. Reading from Nehemiah 4, Rev. Alan Strange charged graduates to view opposition as part of their sanctification, and to fight for their brothers and sisters in the church, since it’s “all ultimately about the Lord Jesus.”

Brian Allred taught for nine years in the Department of Physiology and Health Science at Ball State University prior to attending Mid-America Reformed Seminary. Following his graduation in 2007, he taught Greek at the Seminary for two years. He has found his teaching experience was good preparation for the educational aspects of his current preaching ministry.

This year's summer Greek classes will begin on July 5 and end on August 21. The classes will meet from 8:00 am to 11:20 am on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, with exceptions of the first full week (July 9- 13) and the last full week (August 13-17), meeting on Mondays through Thursday with Fridays off.
