This October, Mid-America Reformed Seminary will mark a series of milestone events, all in the span of just a few days.
New Building Dedicated to the Glory of God
The week begins with a building dedication service on Wednesday, October 1, at 7:00 p.m. in our new chapel auditorium. The occasion will mark a significant milestone in our Foundation for the Future capital campaign, a project made possible through the generosity and prayers of our constituents and community. Together, we'll dedicate this new space to the Lord's service and to the training of current and future ministers of the gospel. For those unable to attend in person, the service will be live-streamed on our YouTube channel so friends near and far can join in this moment of thanksgiving.
Welcoming Our Second President
On Thursday, October 2, at 7:30 p.m., the Seminary community invites you to gather at First Orthodox Presbyterian Church in South Holland, Illinois, for the Presidential Inauguration of Dr. Alan Strange. Dr. Strange becomes the second president in MARS' history, and this service will be a time of gratitude for the Lord's provision and a commissioning of leadership for years to come. The inauguration will also be live-streamed on our YouTube channel to make it possible for the wider MARS family to participate in this event.
Trustees Gathering for Fall Board Meeting
Also on Thursday, October 2, the Fall Meeting of the Board of Trustees will convene. Their gathering will ensure that the mission and vision of MARS continue to be stewarded faithfully. Please join us in prayer as these men prepare for their meeting.
Center for Missions and Evangelism Conference
The week concludes with the 2025 Center for Missions and Evangelism Conference: "Gossiping the Gospel: Everyday Evangelism," held on Friday and Saturday, October 3-4, at Bethel Church in Lansing, Illinois. Registration is open, so join us for a weekend of encouragement and equipping as we learn from a great lineup of speakers on the crucial issues of our day as they pertain to sharing the gospel with our friends and neighbors.
From start to finish, the first week of October will be, for lack of a better definition, a defining moment in the life of MARS. We invite alumni, friends, supporters, and the broader church community to join us in celebrating God's goodness and faithfulness.
