The Board of Trustees of Mid-America Reformed Seminary has declared an opening in the area of Systematic Theology and invites qualified candidates to apply for this position.
The teaching of systematic theology is central to the Seminary's calling to prepare men for the gospel ministry. Through the study of Christian doctrine as it is taught in Holy Scripture and summarized in the Reformed confessions, students are equipped to understand, articulate, defend, and proclaim the truth of God's Word. The appointment of a faculty member in systematic theology is therefore an important part of the Seminary's commitment to providing rigorous theological education in service to Christ's church.
The Seminary seeks a faculty member who is not only academically qualified and theologically equipped but also committed to the confessional standards and educational vision of Mid-America Reformed Seminary. The successful candidate will contribute to the Seminary's work of preparing men for faithful and effective service in the pastoral ministry.
Description

Depending on the needs of the curriculum and the candidate's qualifications, he may also be asked to assist in teaching courses in church history or apologetics.
Applicants must be men ordained to the Christian ministry and in good standing in their church and/or presbytery. Two to three years of experience in pastoral ministry is preferred. They must be committed to the Three Forms of Unity and the Westminster Confession of Faith, and they must affirm and support the mission statement of Mid-America Reformed Seminary.
In addition to the M.Div. degree, applicants should have advanced theological degrees in systematics and/or historical theology, preferably a Ph.D. or one in process.
