The Christian and Politics
Taught by Dr. Alan Strange, President of MARS
Thursdays in March 2026, 7:00-8:30 PM central
These classes are FREE and open to EVERYONE—no registration required for the livestream.
Many of you know Dr. Strange's work on the spirituality of the Church, which emphasizes the Church's spiritual mission as distinct from political, economic, or social missions. However, this has sometimes led to misunderstandings about whether Christians have any place in politics at all. These evening classes will address this question directly.
Dr. Strange will explore how the Christian faith should indeed be brought to bear on all of life—including politics—while maintaining a proper understanding of the Church's spiritual calling.
Topics will include:
- The Christian's role in political engagement
- The spirituality of the Church and Christian citizenship
- Christian nationalism and related contemporary issues
- A biblical framework for political involvement
